Trustee Board Announcement

To the members of the IBM Pension Plan and the IBM IT Solutions Pension Scheme

Dear Member,

I am disappointed to tell you that from 1st May 2012 IBM will reduce the number of Member Nominated Directors from four to three and the number of Trustee Directors from twelve to nine.

This has meant that the Trustee has had to amend the Arrangements for electing Member Nominated Directors for the forthcoming elections.  I will be writing to you very shortly setting out the election process, and the Arrangements have also been published in full on the IBM Pensions Trust website.  You can view these by clicking here.

Given the increased workload that will fall upon the three Member Nominated Directors I urge you to familiarise yourself with the new election arrangements, to consider standing in the forthcoming elections if you have the skills and time, and certainly to vote.
