Death in Deferment - Enhanced M Plan
In the event of your death after leaving IBM but before retiring, the following would be payable:
- The value of your Enhanced M Plan Retirement Account (including any ASCs/AVCs) will be paid to your beneficiary (subject to HMRC limits).
- A DB pension will be paid to a Spouse, Civil Partner, Dependant and/or Child. Full details can be found in your DB Plan handbook.
- The value of any DB ASC/AVC fund will be paid to your beneficiary.
In the case of separation, the Trustee has absolute discretion over who may receive a pension.
If no pensions are payable, the following would be paid to your beneficiary:
- A refund of all your DB contributions including interest
- A payment equal to any DB Smart* contributions including interest
- A payment equal to the value of any ASCs/AVCs
