Increases for C and N Plan retirees 2010
The increase on pension earned before 6 April 1997 is 60% of RPI in January 2010, which was recorded as 3.7%. As a result, your pre 1997 pension will receive an increase of 2.2%.
Increases on any pension earned after 5 April 1997 are based on the recorded RPI figure in September each year. In September 2009, RPI was negative for the seventh month in succession and was recorded at -1.4%. The amount of any post April 1997 pension will not be adversely affected by the negative inflation figure and will remain unchanged during the 2010/11 fiscal year.
