Election of Member Nominated Directors
In May 2012, the term of office for the current Member Nominated Directors (MNDs) will come to an end, creating vacancies on the Trustee Board.
Following the Company’s decision to reduce the number of Trustee Directors from 12 to 9 (details can be found by clicking here) the number of MNDs on the Board will reduce from four to three. The Trustee has decided that two of the MNDs will be active (in service) members and one will be a retiree member.

What happens next?
You can find out more about becoming an MND by reading our MND booklet or by attending one of our Information Sessions. These sessions will be held between 17 and 26 January 2012, at various IBM locations. You can find out more and how to reserve your place here.
Voting in the MND election opens on 20 February 2012 and closes at midnight on 18 March 2012. Electoral Reform Services (ERS) will communicate with you in February 2012 and provide you with the information you need to cast your vote.
Interested?
If you are interested in standing for election as a MND, you should:
- Check that you meet the eligibility criteria and are able to devote the time required to perform the role
- Download a nomination form
- Attend one of the information sessions to find out more. You can find out more about these sessions here
- Complete a nomination form, providing brief personal details, a short career history and other relevant information. You can download a nomination form here.
- Obtain the support of five other IBM pension plan members and ask them to complete the required information on your nomination form. Active candidates should obtain the support of active members and retiree candidates should obtain the support of retiree members.
- Send your completed nomination form to ERS by 5.00pm on 30 January 2012. You can post it to Ruth Dunlop, Electoral Reform Services, the Election Centre, 33 Clarendon Road, London N8 0NW or scan/email it to ruth.dunlop@electoralreform.co.uk.
